 Dhenkanal: Jatan Nagar Palace is just six kilometers from Dhenkanal bus stand. This Palace was built by Pattayet Nrusingha Pratap Singhdeo, the younger brother of King of Dhenkanal. Some peoples called it haunted palace.

Old people says that it have 99 room and it was built with forced labour by carring heavy stones, bricks to build this Palace.

Now there is a small park nearest to this place where family peoples enjoy the picnic and enjoy the beauty of Jatannagar Palace. The palace construction is not in good condition.

If that palace will reshape then the old architectural gaint turns into a heritage palace.

Now every where you see the white Kasatandi flower blooming everywhere. In childhood time our grand parents told when this flower bloom and cold air flow only in early morning that means durga puja reached. 

But this year 2020 due to the Covid-19 we cannot gather on the puja pandal, but whenever you go to mandap please wear the mask and keep social distance.

Nuapokhari is centrally located biggest water body in our city. You can go for a walk in the morning or evening around it and feel its beauty.

A small park is located just corner of the pond which. Need beautification by our local authority. Once it was the best place to enjoy in 90's when there were more flowers and trees present in the park. But the park lost glory because of negligence.
